53 EastEnders pictures confirm psychic twist as six fates are ‘sealed’ and two legends unravel
Secrets never stay secret for too long in EastEnders, which is something that The Six could be set to find out next week, as previewed in Metro’s newest picture gallery, featuring 53 pictures.
A number of the BBC One soap’s resident matriarchs are currently doing everything in their power to keep their actions on Christmas Day a secret, after they assisted in covering up the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
Keanu, as fans know, was killed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who was hellbent on protecting Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) from the violent mechanic.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who witnessed the murder, all lent a hand in covering up the crime, shifting the body to the ruins of the cafe, where it has remained ever since.
Some of the ladies have coped with their actions better than others but Denise and Linda have struggled to come to terms with what happened and, as confirmed in my pictures above, they swiftly start to unravel.
Next week, Denise forgets that it’s her birthday.
When everyone excitedly greets her with presents she’s left feeling overwhelmed and rushes out. Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who has long suspected that something is not right, tries to get to the bottom of what is bothering Denise, who comes to the decision that she must come clean to her husband!
But will she follow through on her plan? If so, how will Jack react? Hopefully by showing his wife love and support, which he has majorly failed to do in recent months (sorry not sorry).
The man, however, is a police detective, so I can’t help but wonder whether he will he prioritise his wife’s wellbeing or his position in the force?
With Jack it’s always hard to tell but I can tell you that, by the week’s end, Denise isn’t on his mind at all as he shares yet another kiss with Stacey as they grow close once again.
And speaking of growing close, Linda is on hand to support Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) after all that he’s done for her, urging him to open up to his mates about his cancer diagnosis. Alfie ultimately takes her advice, with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) resolving to support him.
But there’s soon crisis for alcoholic Linda, who has relapsed in the wake of Christmas, as Alfie finds her drunk at The Albert and takes her back to his, where she says something she absolutely shouldn’t have.
Is the landlady set to spill the beans? That’s for me to know and you to find out so all I’m going to say is that I wouldn’t recommend missing the BBC One serial next week. Trust me, it’s a good one!
EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, January 29 and Thursday February 1 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
