EastEnders: Cindy Finally Shows Her Good Side, But Will It Stick?
Ever since Cindy Beale has returned to Walford on EastEnders, she has been nothing but trouble. But then, what else can we expect from the 90’s pot stirrer? This is exactly what she was famous for. However, the recent episodes have shown that despite the very many awful things that she has done in the past, she still isn’t beyond redemption. In some sweet scenes earlier this week, Cindy offered an olive branch to Elaine Peacock. But is it really genuine or is Cindy pulling yet another conceited scheme? Let’s find out!
Cindy isn’t your regular goody-two-shoes, but she also isn’t an entirely heartless villain on EastEnders. However, that is exactly what she came across as to her daughter’s when she struck down Elaine with some cruel remarks. This sparked an animosity between the two ladies. Later, Ian advised Cindy that she is making matter worse by picking a fight with Elaine. That too, when she knows that George isn’t legally bound to pay her half of the Marbella Bar sale.
Her need to make peace with Elaine became even more stronger when she realised that her daughters would prefer so too, on EastEnders. Thus, she invited Elaine for lunch at The Vic. Unfortunately, the latter declined the invitation. Later, Anna requested Elaine to meet with Cindy and bury the hatchet, because she believed that deep down her mother is a good person. George too, backed up his younger born. Eventually, Elaine relented and met Cindy for lunch.
Although the meetings tarted at a frosty note, things soon took an unexpected turn on EastEnders. Their conversation made Cindy realise that Elaine really does care about Anna and Gina. She offered Elaine a genuine apology and gratitude for taking care of her daughters. This went a great way in thawing the frost between them. Later, Elaine put in a good word about Cindy with Anna and Gina. Thus suggesting that they called cease fire. But have they really?
While we do not doubt the fact that Cindy surely does feel grateful for Elaine taking care of Anna and Gina, we do doubt that she won’t stir the pot again. She and Ian are still strapped for money for their business. Could Cindy just be using Elaine to call a truce with George in hopes of getting the Marbella money? Some spoilers do indicate that George will offer her the money! What do you think? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile
