EastEnders: Dean Wicks Returns To Be Part Of Christmas Murder Story!
The October 30, 2023, episode saw Matt Di Angelo reprising Dean Wicks on EastEnders! The vile rapist is back in the square! Earlier, speculations of his return had sparked when a BTS from the sets of the BBC One soap had gone viral. The picture showed Lola’s photograph in the foreground while a person resembling Dean sat in the background. However, his return is not a mere speculation anymore. Much to Linda’s shock and dispair, her rapist has made a comeback.
It has been seven long years since fans saw Dean on EastEnders. However, no amount of time can ever make anyone forget his sinister history in Walford. Especially, what he did to Linda Carter. In 2016, we saw the last of him after his mother disowned him. And following his rape attempt on Roxy Mitchell, he was chased out of the town. It of course did not help the crowd sentiment that he escaped legal punishment for the crimes he did commit.
The latest spoilers tease that there is apparent outrage in town over Dean’s return. So it is safe to say that everyone on EastEnders wants him gone. That automatically bumps him to the top of the list of possible Christmas murder victims. In a recent chat with the media Matt (Dean) teased the very possibility. “We know that Linda is involved in the Christmas storyline, and we also know that most people in the Square would like to see the back of Dean.” he pointed. However, he refrained from giving away any further details about the much heated festive storyline.
His return to the fold, also ties in with the Beale family. Dean is Cindy’s new partner for her and Ian’s pie shop on EastEnders. So Dean is definitely going to be ruffling many feathers in the square. Speaking of his behaviour, Matt states one never knows what goes on in his head. It is hard to even judge if Dean even acknowledges what he did to Linda or not. He has a very delusional view of himself. All in all, it is safe to say that he may not have changed a lot from his previous sinister ways. Thus, making him a viable option to end up on the floor dead on Christmas! What do you think?
