EastEnders spoilers: Phil fears his cheating secret as Alfie confides his cancer secret in Kat and Tommy

Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is set to return to Albert Square in upcoming EastEnders scenes, after spending time in Spain recovering from his prostatectomy.

He is left disheartened when he returns from the hospital after getting his PSA results and runs straight into Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), who lays into him for his disappearing act.

However, she soon softens when Alfie reveals the truth.

Later, as Kat comforts Alfie at No.55, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) starts to worry about whether or not his secret will stay a secret for much longer.

Viewers will remember that Phil cheated on wife Kat just before their wedding with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit).

Kat and Phil had had a row, so naturally Phil fell into another woman’s arms, as he so often does.

He has managed to keep it from Kat so far, but with Alfie, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in on it, he worries how much longer he will be able to keep it hidden.

With Alfie back on the scene, that is one pair of loose lips too many for Phil’s liking, and he soon sets about taking action.

While Phil broods, Kat and Alfie head to Walford East with Tommy (Sonny Kendall), where Alfie opens up to his son about his prostate cancer diagnosis.

When Phil later confronts him about his plans for keeping his secret, Alfie assures him that, given the current circumstances, spilling his secret is the last thing on his mind.

With Phil acting so shifty, will Kat realise that he is hiding something?

How long will Phil and Alfie be able to keep this secret right under Kat’s nose?
