Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) is set to be surprised in upcoming EastEnders scenes, ahead of her big exit from the show.
It was announced earlier this year that Karen would be leaving the BBC soap, though how that will happen still remains to be seen.
In the meantime, she is still reeling from her involvement in kidnapping grandson Albie – something that the rest of her family are still in the dark about.
Karen was made to go along with Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) improvised kidnapping plot after his plan to take Albie out of the country failed.
Under pressure, Keanu lied to the police that his son had been kidnapped, and went on to stage a number of ransom notes.
In upcoming scenes, Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) will organise a surprise party for Karen, and persuade Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Keanu to attend.
How will Karen react to their presence?
Sharon and Karen have a very complicated relationship, with Karen never having approved of Sharon and Keanu’s relationship.
In recent scenes which saw Sharon and Keanu get engaged again, Sharon tried to extend an olive branch to her future mother in law, but Karen was quick to slap it down.
Despite Sharon’s insistence that she was part of their family, Karen turned down her invitation to the celebratory drinks, and refused to ever give her blessing for their relationship.
With Karen so against their relationship, and still harbouring the secret of Albie’s kidnapping, could she be set to expose it all in a bid to break up Keanu and Sharon?
