Coronation Street’s Ronnie Bailey already starred in EastEnders – but do you remember him?
He appeared on the show in 2005 for a string of episodes
HE is currently making his mark on the Coronation Street cobbles but actor Vinta Morgan has already enjoyed a soap past.
Fans have become used to seeing him on the ITV soap opera as an integral part of the formidable Bailey family on the show.
Ronnie is currently in the throes of a seemingly doomed housing project with brother Ed as well as being suspicious about Ed’s gambling habit.
Coronation Street fans have also grown to love the character following his ascent from Jenny Connor’s lodger to being Debbie Webster’s knight in shining armour.
However, it is far from Vinta’s first appearance in soap world.
The actor actually appeared in the BBC hit EastEnders in 2005.
Vinta played the role of PC Phillips, a police officer involved in the storyline of missing teenagers Leo Taylor and Demi Miller.
You would be forgiven for forgetting his character as he appeared in a run of just ten episodes in a minor capacity.
Vinta reflected on his time in Walford with Inside Soap earlier this week.
He told the publication: “It was a while ago! It was a story where a kid was in trouble and I was a police officer who went above and beyond.
“It was about 10 episodes, but of course it was no comparison to Corrie, the pinnacle of soap TV!”
Ronnie has been at the centre of Corrie scandal this week when it appeared that he could be abetting the proposed changing of the Rovers into flats.
However, he eventually stopped plans upon realising how important the pub was to Weatherfield.
