EastEnders reveals special episode for major murder storyline
EastEnders is set to treat fans with a special episode dedicated to the Christmas Day murder mystery that has had viewers hooked for over nine months.
Ever since the flash forward aired in February, fans have been desperate to know who is lying dead on the floor, and who has killed them, searching for clues in every episode and trailer along the way.
Now, the stars at the centre of this storyline, fondly known as The Six, are set to give us some insight into what they think may be going down on Christmas Day, in a new show hosted by Joe Swash.
EastEnders: The Six – Revealed will see Joe sit down with Kellie Bright, Balvinder Sopal, Lacey Turner, Diane Parish, Gillian Taylforth and Letitia Dean as they delve into the lives of their on screen alter-egos: Linda, Suki, Stacey, Denise, Kathy and Sharon.
Whilst re-watching some of their characters’ most dramatic moments, the actresses will share an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into their most gripping storyline moments of the year.
They will also discuss which man might find himself wearing the dreaded cufflinks as well as sharing possible theories on how each of their characters could be driven to commit such a crime.
Speaking about the new special, EastEnders producer Chris Clenshaw has promised that viewers will get some ‘exclusive news’ from the episode.
‘Since we announced our Christmas storyline back in February, there has been an overwhelming amount of speculation around the body in question and which one of our six Walford matriarchs might be responsible; with much of that speculation coming from the cast.
‘This show not only gives the audience the chance to hear from the actresses involved as they discuss their own theories but also gives some exclusive news about what’s to come this Christmas.’
Presenter Joe Swash is no stranger to EastEnders, having played the role of Mickey Miller and co-hosted a number of specials.
‘I absolutely loved being back in my old stomping ground, Albert Square,’ he said of The Six – Revealed. ‘EastEnders holds such great memories for me, and it felt so great to be back.
‘I loved reconnecting with Tish, Lacey and Di who I love dearly and worked with on my last stint in the show, and it was great to meet Kellie, Gillian and Bal as we looked back at some of their amazing storylines from the year.’
EastEnders: The Six – Revealed is set to air on BBC3 and iPlayer on Monday, December 11 at 8pm.
