EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley issued a warning to her followers on social media as she admitted she’d been feeling dreadful after suffering from a bad hangover.

The Karen Taylor actress shared a selfie from her car on Instagram, and told her 171k followers her decision to drink was ‘not clever.’ Lauren, who is seen wearing a bright multi-coloured top, a headscarf, and hoop earrings, looked unlike her usual bubbly self.

Frowning in the picture, she wrote: “Don’t drink! It’s not funny and it’s not clever. Feel like absolute s****!! Look at the face on it…#hanging.” The 45-year-old proceeded to share another snap of her beverage to her Instagram stories and wrote: “Only way forward #BloodyMary.”

In July, the actress confirmed she had been axed from the BBC show after she joined the cast in 2017. Taking to Instagram to reveal her shock news, Lorraine wrote: “Hey everyone! I’m so grateful for all of your lovely messages this past week. Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for giving me the opportunity to play such a fabulous character, I’ll be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor and will miss all the cast and crew at EastEnders.”

“However I’m looking forward to my next chapter and excited about being a jobbing Actor again & starting new ventures.Again your kind words of support have been amazing!!! I’m going to miss my Taylor/Baker famalam Clair Norris, Danny Walters, Roger Griffiths and Matthew Morrison. Much love.” [sic]

Earlier this month, Lorraine broke her silence after fans were left devastated when the news hit the headlines. Opening up in an interview, the actress confessed she felt a “mix of emotions” after being told she needed to leave Walford.

Lorraine said she hopes her departure will open doors for other projects. “I was sad, it was a mix of emotions, it’s sad but it’s exciting as now I can go and do what I want,” she said.

Revealing whether she would consider joining a rival soap, she told The Sun: “I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady.” Lorraine said of her character Karen: “Just want people to remember her as the best mum on the square, a heart of gold, she’s giving you her last fiver and would do anything for her kids – a bit like myself.”
