Former EastEnders star Michael Greco has announced he’s set to become a father again.

The actor, best known for his role as Beppe Di Marco in the BBC One soap, became a dad back in 2021 after partner Helen Harris gave birth to little Gianluca.

The baby was born six weeks early and had gastroschisis, a rare genetic disorder that occurs when the baby’s abdomen does not develop fully while in the womb.

He shared a picture of Gianluca on social media, writing at the time: ‘My boy… Gianluca Greco. Born July 1st 2021. Weighing 4.47lbs.

‘The little man was born prematurely due to the fact that previous scans had failed to pick up his rare birth defect called Gastroschisis.

‘The consultant suggested it was best for him to born early so that he could get the necessary care and attention.

‘He was born at University College of London Hospital @uclh Their staff were extremely professional and Mother and Baby could not have been in better hands. Dad was a “tad” emotional to say the least!’

Today (December 8), Michael shared on his Instagram the happy news that another ‘Baby Greco’ is on the way.

Uploading a picture of the baby scan, Michael wrote alongside: ‘Absolutely over the moon to announce another Baby Greco is on the way. My beautiful boy Gianluca cannot wait to see his younger sibling. Thank you God for giving me another miracle baby. See you in June bubba.’

Michael’s EastEnders colleague, Louise Jameson, recently spoke about her reaction to being written out of the soap.

Now most known for her role as Mary Goskirk in Emmerdale, her character Rosa di Marco, Beppe’s mum, featured in EastEnders for over two years — frequenting Walford between 1998 and 2000 — and appeared in over 200 episodes before she and the rest of the di Marco clan were axed as part of what was then a major overhaul.

Addressing her departure from the show, Louise said: ‘I was annoyed about the way it was announced.’

She added to Inside Soap: ‘I was only told the night before it appeared in the papers. I thought they could have run it by me first so I could tell my family. It wasn’t respectful.’
