EastEnders’ George Knight set for shock Christmas reunion as his adoptive parents arrive on the Square
EASTENDERS’ George Knight is set for a shock Christmas reunion as his adoptive parents arrive on the Square.
The barman, played by Colin Salmon in the BBC soap, will be lost for words when Gloria and Eddie Knight make a visit to Walford.
George has not seen the pair for over a decade, and they are keen to build a relationship with him once more.
However they aren’t totally honest with him when they arrive.
Christopher Fairbank, 70, has taken on the role of Eddie, while Elizabeth Counsell, 81, is Gloria.
Elizabeth is so excited to be part of the show, saying: “I can honestly say it has been an absolute joy.
“The cast and all of the team behind the scenes at EastEnders are brilliant and have been so welcoming.
“Colin and I actually worked together before, and who would have thought that I’d be playing his mum almost thirty years later!”
Christopher added: “I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to join the cast of EastEnders.
“Everyone has been so welcoming, and it’s been fantastic to meet and work with the brilliant actors involved in the show.”
Over the years Elizabeth has been in plenty of popular TV shows including Call the Midwife, Doctors and The Split.
Meanwhile Christopher also has an incredible career, but is best known for being in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
Colin has been on EastEnders since June this year when he joined the cast as Elaine Peacock’s partner.
He arrived with his daughters Gina and Anna and their dog Tyson.
The barman later dropped a huge bombshell revealing that he had a secret child.
