BBC EastEnders Sharon Watts ‘exposed’ as Christmas killer – paternity twist and shock admission

Sharon Watts is hiding a lot of secrets – and that could put her top of the list for the Christmas killer on EastEnders.

The longstanding resident of Walford – played by Letitia Dean – is one of the six women set to find themselves caught up in a murder this Christmas. Alongside Suki, Kathy, Stacey, Denise and Linda, Sharon will find herself standing over a dead body.

We don’t know much about the Christmas Day episode yet but we do know that Sharon is planning to marry Keanu. However, she is very unaware what he is hiding – and she also has a secret of her own threatening to come out.

Paternity twist

Could Sharon’s secret finally find a way out this Christmas? With it being a soap, we know secrets don’t stay that way for very long. Earlier this year, Sharon found out that Keanu wasn’t Albie’s father – and in fact Phil Mitchell was the dad.

After Albie was kidnapped, they took him to hospital for some general tests but soon doctors were ordering some more specialist tests after spotting something worrying. They later confirmed nothing major was wrong, but Albie had a genetic condition that had to come from both of his parents – but Keanu didn’t have the gene present.

Sharon has kept this secret from Keanu, but is there a chance it could all come out Christmas Day, or does someone threaten to blow her secret, and will that lead her to kill to keep all that in the past?

Shock revenge

Whilst Sharon has a big secret, Keanu has a secret of his own too. Whilst his mum Karen has fled Walford for Spain after admitting to her part in the kidnapping, she kept it hushed that Keanu had a part in it too. He also threw his mum under a bus, denying he was responsible for all that happened in a shocking turn of events.

But if the truth eventually comes out about Keanu’s part in the fake kidnapping, could it be all over for the pair? Some fans have questioned whether Sharon knows that Keanu was responsible and is marrying him to get back at him somehow.

Could this all come to a head on Christmas Day and could it result in Sharon turning into a killer?

Big confession

There could be trouble ahead for Sharon. We know she is hiding the big secret, and she has made it clear that Albie is her life and she’d do anything for him. Could something happen in the lead up to Christmas that could involve her son Albie? After all, Sharon has admitted she’d do anything for her kids – but could that include murder?

Letitia explained: “Keanu obviously isn’t the man Sharon thinks he is and although she is wracked with guilt over Albie’s paternity she has no idea he is keeping this massive secret. Family is everything to Sharon, and the idea that Keanu would purposely play with her emotions in such a cruel way would absolutely break her. I don’t think she could forgive him for that.”

“And then there’s Phil. Say what you like about their dysfunctional relationship, but through all of their ups and down over the years, they have always had each other’s backs so it is tearing her apart that she is betraying him over Albie and we all know how Phil can react when he’s burnt by those closest to him. Phil will do anything for his kids, as will Sharon, so it could be disastrous for them both if the truth were to ever come out,” she added of her struggle with ex Phil.
