Linda Carter's life just got a whole lot more complicated in EastEnders, as she was revealed to be the Christmas Day killer, after stabbing victim Keanu Taylor when he got violent
EastEnders actress Kellie Bright has a lovely family life – luckily it’s far less dramatic than her character’s Linda Carter.
During the explosive Christmas Day episode, it was finally revealed that Linda was the member of The Six who was the killer, and that Keanu Taylor was the victim. Linda stabbed Keanu (Danny Walters) after he tried to strangle Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
During her time on the soap, Kellie has been involved in other huge storylines too, including her rocky romance with Mick (Danny Dyer) and her battle with alcohol. She’s had some explosive scenes too – and one actually featured her husband.
So, as Linda takes centre stage in Albert Square, we’re taking a look at actress Kellie’s far less dramatic love life with husband Paul Stocker.
Co-star husband
EastEnders fans actually got a glimpse of Kellie’s hubby Paul in a 2021 episode. In the scene, Linda is attacked when she’s caught in the middle of a robbery in the Queen Vic.
However, it was filmed during Covid, so social distancing measures were in full effect. To make sure the scene looked realistic, Paul was brought in to play one of the thugs so he could actually touch Kellie.
Age gap romance
Kellie and Paul have a seven-year age gap between them – however it hasn’t been an issue for them. They first met when Kellie was 31, and Paul was 24 and got married in 2014.
While they’ve lasted the distance, Kellie did admit she had been concerned by their difference in age. She told OK! magazine: “I was 31 and wanted to have kids and Paul was 24 and didn’t, at the time. I felt it wasn’t fair on Paul, I worried that he would resent me.”
Baby joy
While Kellie admitted she was worried Paul wasn’t on board with her baby plans, the couple now have a lovely family. They welcomed their third son in July 2021 – and are adamant they are “done” having children.
As well as toddler Rudy, Kellie and Paul share sons Freddie and Gene. The couple went through IVF to conceive Gene, and he became quite ill after he was born – however everything turned out fine.
Then, in March 2021, Kellie announced she was pregnant. She batted off nasty comments from people who shamed her for having a baby at 44.
Kellie told OK! magazine at the time: “If I was a man having my third child at 44, no one would bat an eyelid.”
Actor life
While Paul has appeared in EastEnders, it’s far from his only role. He has also enjoyed screen time in Doctors and Casualty.
