BBC EastEnders Keanu star admits he’ll remember the ‘women’ after Christmas death
Danny Taylor, who is best known for playing Keanu Taylor in EastEnders said 'it's been a blast' as he revealed what he will miss the most starring in the hit BBC soap
Actor Danny Walters has confessed that he’ll remember the women his character was involved with after he was dramatically killed off during the Christmas episode of EastEnders.
The 30-year-old, who is best known for playing the role of Keanu Taylor in the soap, has been a part of the hit BBC show since 2017 and has been involved in a number of nail-biting storylines. But on Monday night (December 25), Keanu met his fate when he was stabbed by Linda Carter.
Talking openly about his exit from the long-running soap, actor Danny said: “It’s been a blast. From the things my character has done, to the drama that he’s got himself involved in, to the danger he’s got himself involved in, and to the women that he’s got himself involved in over the years. It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride, but what a journey it’s been.”
Things started out positively for Keanu in the hour-long episode as he was due to get married to Sharon Watts. But their wedding came to a dramatic halt when Phil Mitchell and Keanu’s sister put a stop to the proceedings.
If things couldn’t get any worse, later on, when Keanu entered the Queen Vic looking for Sharon he was stunned to find her kneeling over Nish – who appeared to be dead at first. With Kathy, Linda, Denise, Stacey and Suki also looking worse for wear in the pub, Keanu told Sharon that he was going to take her son Albie away from her.
But a stern Sharon put her foot down and told him he would not be able to do so. She also told him again that Albie is not his son – as she revealed earlier that Phil is Albie’s dad.
Consumed with rage, anger and hate, Keanu strangled Sharon who was unable to get him off of her. As the five other ladies attempted to pull him away, Linda took the initiative to do something fatal.
Grabbing a carving fork, Linda stabs him in the back and Keanu stumbled to the floor. Since the dramatic scenes aired, viewers shared their shocked reactions online.
One social media user said: “Linda Carter killing Keanu Taylor was not on my 2023 bingo card.” As another said: “Keanu deserved it in the moment.”
