EastEnders spoilers: Lauren Branning’s world blown apart by life-changing discovery
Lauren demands answers as big news knocks her for six.
Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) is knocked for six in EastEnders next month when she discovers that she’s got a sister that she knew nothing about.
The much-loved character is set to stage her return in upcoming scenes, departing Paris for Walford with cousin Penny (Kitty Castledine), before ending up in some trouble with the law.
After being released, she arrives back in the Square and is eager to be reunited with Louie. Peter Beale (Thomas Law) is quick to convince her to stay longer, with Lauren later checking in on Penny to make sure she’s okay.
Penny, however, lets slip that Peter knew her secret and didn’t tell her, which leaves Lauren adamants that she must leave at once and head to Tanya’s (Jo Joyner).
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), meanwhile, finds out that Lauren is back in town and she’s terrified that she’ll discover that Annie is her sister.
The landlady, as viewers know, is going through a right old time of it after she killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in a bid to protect Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
The last thing she needs is further complications, nor to be reminded of the affair she had with Max Branning (Jake Wood), which she – like the rest of us – would rather forget.
Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) assures Linda that she will keep shtum but, as Lauren goes to leave with Louie, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) stops her by revealing that she’s got another sister in Walford.
Lauren is furious when she finds out the truth and makes a beeline for the Queen Vic, demanding to know why Linda didn’t tell her that Annie is her sister.
The question is: just how will Linda react?
This isn’t the first time that she and Lauren have clashed over the situation with Lauren previously having the nerve to accuse Linda of breaking Max’s heart.
