This article contains spoilers from Friday’s (December 29) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Following their murderous antics on Christmas Day, The Six have found themselves in a spot of bother, and it is all down to Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley).

While Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) tried to hide Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) body, they failed to realise that Rocky was also wandering the streets.

Though he was blackout drunk, he has slowly begun to piece together what he saw that night, which has proved concerning for The Six.

After Kathy managed to explain away his sighting of Sharon going into the burnt out cafe, she was stumped when he then revealed that he had seen Stacey and Denise hauling Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) tarpaulin across the Square.

This, of course, contradicted the story that the women had told the police – that they had been held in the Vic at knife point by Keanu – and The Six were determined to shut Rocky down.

Kathy was left horrified when they insisted that the only way to get him off their backs was to report him to the police for arson, and spent hours debating whether or not to go through with it.

However, after a run in with Rocky on the Square, Stacey and Denise piled on the pressure, with Kathy arguing that she needed proof before she made the call.

Staying true to their newfound sisterhood, Denise offered to help, and had soon uncovered Rocky’s search history, which revealed that he had been looking into insurance payouts the day before the fire.

With the evidence she needed to get him sent down for life, Kathy informed the police, and soon Rocky had been arrested, leaving Kathy feeling guiltier than ever.

After getting Denise to pull a few strings with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Kathy was able to pay Rocky a visit, where the final piece of the plan soon fell into place.

After Rocky’s questioning had seen him deny the claims that he had deliberately started the fire, Kathy encouraged him to tell the truth, making out that it may help him get a shorter sentence.

With Kathy having promised to wait for him so they can be together once he has served his time, it became clear that Rocky intended to do as she’d asked.

With Brian Conley set to leave his role, is Rocky set to face a life behind bars, and where will this leave The Six?
