EastEnders fans think they have figured out Phil Mitchell’s revenge after his sister, Sam Mitchell, betrayed him by dropping a brutal bombshell on Wednesday’s episode.
Only recently, Sam made a big discovery at Aunt Sal’s funeral as she discovered that Aunt Sal has left her, Phil and brother Grant Mitchell £100,000 in inheritance. The news left Sam in shock, with her completely unaware she had been left any money.
Sam confronted Phil and demanded her share of the money, but he refused to hand it over. Later, Sam decided to use dirty tactics to get what she wanted, resorting to blackmail after finding out from Alfie Moon that Phil cheated on wife Kat.

Fans will recall that Phil slept with Emma Harding last year and Sam used this information to blackmail Phil for the inheritance money. On Wednesday’s episode, Sam continued to pressure Phil for the money but he wouldn’t give in. Eventually, Phil said Sam could get her money on one condition, she leave Albert Square for good.
Later, Phil met with Sam and handed over her share of the money, saying: “Take it, pack your bags, and get out of my life because I want you gone tonight.” The two then shared some hurtful truths, which resulted in Sam warning she can’t be pushed around and that she was going to stand up to Phil.
Over at the Queen Vic, where Phil and Kat were having a joint birthday party, Sam decided to take to the karaoke microphone, dropping the bombshell in front of everyone, including Kat, that Phil slept with Emma. The episode ended with Phil looking furious.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers think they have figured out Phil’s revenge on Sam. One person said: “I’m guessing Phil will do or say something to ruin Sam’s chances with Ricky jr or to do with the business. Or next time she gets into bother, Phil could just put his hands up and say “you’re on your own.” #Eastenders” while a different account put: “Phil needs to get his money back now #EastEnders.”
