EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater receives an unexpected offer as she falls apart over Phil Mitchell

Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) was still reeling from the discovery that Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) had cheated on her with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) and their subsequent break up in recent EastEnders scenes, and her way of coping involved an eventful trip to the pub.

After overhearing Jean and Stacey Slater (Gillian Wright and Lacey Turner) discussing their cramped living situation, Kat sought refuge in the Queen Vic, where she was soon joined by Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).

Having learnt the previous day that Alfie had known about Phil’s infidelity all along, Kat didn’t give him the warmest welcome, and made it clear that she was hurt by his betrayal.

As she knocked back more and more drinks, she soon turned on Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), accusing him of also knowing the truth all along, before being thrown out of the Vic by a frustrated Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe)

While sitting alone in the Square, Kat was soon joined by none other than Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), who revealed that he had heard what had happened between Phil and Emma.

Bitter Kat retorted that she knew he’d also been cheated on by Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), who had been seeing Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) for months behind his back.

As Nish sat down beside her, the pair began lamenting over their lost marriages and how betrayed they felt, and soon Nish hit Kat with a surprising offer.

He revealed that he had a flat available on George Street that she could rent free of charge, until she was able to get her money out of Phil’s businesses.

When Kat later relayed the offer to Stacey, she warned Kat to steer clear, as Nish was a controlling man who couldn’t be trusted, and was only out for himself.

However, Kat ignored her advice and later paid Nish a visit to accept his offer.

Is Nish really a changed man, or has Kat made a huge mistake?
