Denise Fox (Diane Parish) continues to spiral in upcoming EastEnders scenes, leaving The Six horrified as they fear the end is near.

As if things weren’t bad enough for The Six when they watched Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) murder Keanu Taylor and then helped her cover it up, Denise then lost her necklace while they were burying his body, meaning that there is strong evidence linking her to the crime.

Poor Denise is not coping well with that fact, and it continues to weigh heavily on her mind in upcoming scenes.

She is so distracted by it that she forgets her own birthday, and is so shocked to be greeted by her family with birthday celebrations that she grows overwhelmed and rushes out.

Concerned Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) follows, determined to find out what’s wrong, but knowing that she can’t open up to him leaves Denise in a difficult position, and soon a wedge is driven even further between the couple.

The family are left upset and confused by Denise’s outburst, and Raymond’s fear leaves Denise desperate, as she considers telling Jack everything.

On the day of baby Charli’s guardianship hearing, Denise is stunned to learn that Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) had an altercation with Jack and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) the previous day.

Viewers will remember that Denise caused Nish’s head injury when she hit him over the head with a champagne bottle on Christmas Day, in a bid to save Suki Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).

She has since been extremely paranoid that he may remember what really happened that night, and so collars Stacey demanding to know what their altercation was all about.

Though Stacey insists it was over Suki, who is now living with the Slaters, Denise is so rattled that she rushes off, just as the families are called into the hearing.

Poor Denise can’t even escape her fears while she’s asleep, and she later has a restless night, eventually waking up screaming, only to find that Jack isn’t there.

Later, the couple argue over her disappearance from the court hearing, and she demands to know where he was the night before. Jack makes an excuse about work, sending Denise spiralling with paranoia as she fears the case is connected to Christmas Day.

Desperate to put her mind at ease, Denise steals his phone to find out, only for him to later find out, with another row erupting, resulting in Denise seeking out an unlikely confidante.

The next day, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey and Suki gather in the Queen Vic at Elaine’s psychic night. As Madame Tellerina takes the stage, the women are horrified when Denise wanders in, looking terrible.

Things go from bad to worse as she volunteers to go up on stage, hoping to find some answers to her despair.

Unfortunately, when she returns home, it becomes clear that her grip on reality has slipped even further…
