Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is set to face horror in upcoming EastEnders scenes when she is injured in a terrifying gang attack.
Yolande is an upstanding member of Walford’s community and is often there to lend a helping hand to her fellow residents – which is exactly how she finds herself in this situation.
Recent scenes have seen her offer a shoulder to cry on to struggling Denise Fox (Diane Parish), rally the local youths to hand out leaflets for the church, and volunteer at Pastor Clayton’s soup kitchen.
It is within Yolande’s nature to help people, so when she spots Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) being surrounded by a gang, she is quick to intervene.
It all starts when Denzel has an altercation with school bully Logan inside McClunky’s, and soon he and his gang have him surrounded.
Yolande spots the scene and rushes to the rescue, but ends up injured when she trips up.
To make matters worse, the gang have filmed the incident, and Denzel is left feeling terrible that he couldn’t protect Yolande from the vile troublemakers.
When he later sees the video, he is left humiliated, and things only get worse when Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) begins teasing him about it.
Wound up, Denzel lashes out at his friend, and it takes Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) to break up the fight.
Later, Priya and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) force Nugget and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) to apologise, before Ravi comes up with another plan.
In a bid to help the teenage lads channel their emotions, he takes them to Boxing Den. Will it help?
