EastEnders spoilers: Scandalous passion erupts as Jack Branning saves Stacey Slater from raging Nish Panesar
If you thought Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Stacey Slater (Lacey turner) would be able to keep their hands off each other for more than five minutes in EastEnders then we’re sorry to have to tell you that you were very much mistaken.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) was crushed when she discovered Jack and Stacey’s one night stand last year, and it has caused tension between the trio ever since.
Things got even more complicated when both Stacey and Denise found themselves caught up in Keanu Taylor’s murder on Christmas Day, and the subsequent cover up.
With Denise struggling to maintain her composure, Stacey was recently seen using her relationship with Jack to check that Denise hadn’t let anything slip, and it became clear that there was still a spark between them.
In upcoming scenes, The Six will continue to fret about Keanu’s body in the café, with Stacey pushing Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) to finalise her divorce deal with husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) to ensure the café stays firmly under their control.
When Suki pays Nish a visit, as per Stacey’s instructions, she is faced with a barrage of questions from Nish, who is determined to get to the bottom of what really happened on Christmas night.
Suki manages to throw him off the scent, but a later conversation with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) about Stacey’s past leaves him with further questions.
Sinister Nish will stop at nothing to get answers, and when he later breaks into the Slater house, Stacey is left terrified – until Jack swoops in to save the day.
As Jack sends Nish packing, grateful Stacey leans in to kiss him.
Jack feels terrible about betraying Denise again, and makes a swift exit.
The next day, as the Brannings and Slaters meet at the court for baby Charli’s guardianship hearing, the atmosphere is tense.
When Denise learns about the altercation between Jack, Stacey and Nish she is quick to collar Stacey for an explanation, and though Stacey tries to convince her that it was over Suki, paranoid Denise is so rattled that she rushes out.
Later, Jack joins the party at the Slaters, and is soon pulled aside by a concerned Stacey, wanting to know how Denise is doing.
That night, Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) is left to soothe Denise as she cries out in her sleep, with Jack nowhere to be found…
