Bianca’s chaotic EastEnders return story revealed in filming pictures as police showdown is confirmed
Bianca Butcher’s (Patsy Palmer) long-awaited EastEnders comeback will be packed full of drama if these new filming pictures are anything to go by, with a police showdown and an arrest set to take place.
Cast and crew members of the BBC One soap, including Patsy Palmer, Shona McGarty and James Farrar – who play Bianca, Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson respectively – were spotted shooting scenes on-location.
Natalie Cassidy, who plays Bianca’s sister and Walford legend Sonia Fowler, was also spotted during the shoot, with the four stars seen chatting in-between takes.
As for the storyline itself, well much of it is currently being kept under wraps but, in typical EastEnders fashion, fans can expect chaos aplenty, with a police presence and showdown, which will inevitably see our mainstays facing some sort of danger – and one arrest is even made.
Whitney’s time on the Square is running out after actress Shona decided to leave EastEnders after 15 years, with Bianca’s return set to play a pivotal role in her departure.
The narrative has already started to play out on screen, with Whit deciding to take a trip to Milton Keynes to visit stepmum Bianca during the latest offering of the long-running serial with partner Zack by her side.

Last we saw Bianca, she returned in 2019 for Whitney’s wedding to Callum Highway (Tony Clay), which didn’t go ahead after the bride discovered her husband-to-be had been sleeping with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
Ben and Callum are now happily married.
Discussing her upcoming return, Patsy said: ‘I’m so excited to be reprising the role of Bianca. EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart so it’s always a pleasure to be back.’
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: ‘I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Patsy back to the iconic role of Bianca Jackson.
‘Although the character was last seen on-screen in 2019, Bianca still remains a fan favourite.
‘We know our audiences will be thrilled at her return as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside step-daughter Whitney.’
Bianca’s return will premiere in a special episode focusing on Whitney and the drama she faces amid her and Zack’s visit to Milton Keynes.
The details of the storyline are yet to be revealed, but EastEnders has gone as far to confirm that chaos will ensue, which is further backed-up by the aforementioned pictures.
Off the back of a sensational Christmas and a dramatic start to the New Year, it’s an exciting time to be an EastEnders fan!
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One, with episodes first dropping at 6am on BBC iPlayer.
