EastEnders fans were left gutted when Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) left Albert Square last October and have been eagerly anticipating his return ever since.

Freddie left Walford to visit mum Little Mo after a dramatic showdown with Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner) stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), during which Freddie attacked Theo with an iron.

Actor Bobby Brazier took a break from the BBC soap in order to compete in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, which saw him reach the final alongside dance partner Dianne Buswell.

More recently, he has been touring the country as part of the Strictly tour, where he has been spotted cosying up to co-star and Strictly winner Ellie Leach, who is best known to soap fans as Coronation Street’s Faye Windass.

The pair were spotted on a dinner date in Nando’s earlier this month, and rumours of their romance were further fuelled by an Instagram picture of the pair snuggling up on their Strictly tour bus.

The upload came just days after Ellie and her dancing partner Vito Coppola distanced themselves from rumours of a romantic relationship, saying they were just ‘good friends’ in a recent interview.

Following the Strictly tour, Bobby has confirmed that he will be heading back to EastEnders – news that will surely leave fans delighted.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said:  ‘I can’t wait. It’s soon, EastEnders, and I can’t wait. I miss it.’

Since his arrival on the Square in 2022, Bobby has been involved in some huge storylines, including one that saw Freddie discover the truth about his dad.

After finding out dad Graham Foster’s (Alex McSweeney) identity, Freddie met him for the first time, but would later discover that he had raped Little Mo.

His violent attack on Theo followed, which led to his exit, as Freddie headed off to stay with Little Mo, having been released on bail following his arrest for attempted murder.

With Bobby confirming Freddie’s return to Walford, we imagine that he will be thrust straight into the drama, what with the charges hanging over him – not to mention everything that has happened in Albert Square since his exit.
