EastEnders spoilers: Emotional double exit story revealed for Linda Carter and Alfie Moon
There’s no two EastEnders characters that deserve a holiday more than Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), so when the perfect opportunity for a getaway arises next week, the pair prepare to leave Walford for sunnier climes.
Linda has been on a downward spiral since her murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day, hitting the bottle daily to drown her sorrows in the wake of the events that saw six of the square’s women hide Keanu’s dead body under the floor in the café.
Just one year on from the presumed death of her husband Mick (Danny Dyer) and the return of her rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), Linda is breaking under the pressure of keeping Keanu’s murder a secret.
Meanwhile, Alfie has been hiding his battle with prostrate cancer from most of his friends and family, finally coming clean to mates Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) in emotional scenes earlier this week where he confessed that the reason he publicly wet himself in the Queen Vic was because of the condition he’s been quietly living with for the last few months.
Both Ian and Billy offered a sympathetic ear, and encouraged him to be more open to them in future. With his expanded support network around him, it’s at Ian’s suggestion next week that Alfie decides to head off on holiday to celebrate the end of his treatment.

Following a heart-to-heart with Linda at his flat, Alfie invites her along for the trip in the hope that it will be a good escape for them both.
The duo have grown closer recently, comforting each other through their individual struggles.
However, a spanner is thrown into the works when Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) swans back into Albert Square, demanding to know where Keanu is. Troubled Linda darts back to the Queen Vic to pack her suitcase much to mum Elaine’s (Harriet Thorpe) dismay.
When Elaine lets slip to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) that Linda is planning to jet off, she is visibly shocked at the news.
Will Stacey convince Linda to stay at home, or will she manage to escape with Alfie before she crumbles any further?
