Sister Wives: Christine Admits It Was ‘Awkward’ Having Robyn There When Daughter Mykelti Gave Birth
Christine admits that there was some awkwardness to having Robyn around when her daughter Mykelti gave birth
Christine Brown is opening up about an uncomfortable reunion with Robyn Brown.
During this week’s episode of Sister Wives, Christine’s daughter Mykelti gives birth to her twin sons Asher and Ace, now 22 months. After Mykelti welcomes her little ones and is resting, her father Kody Brown’s wife Robyn comes over to meet the babies.
“All of Robyn’s kids love Mykelti. She puts a lot on herself. She puts a lot of all of this on herself about bringing the family together and having it be her role because she gets along great with Robyn and she gets along great with me,” Christine says in a confessional.
“Kody and Robyn are grandparents to Avalon, and they’ll be grandparents for the twins,” she continues.
The scene then switches to Mykelti after she’s given birth. “Well no, I technically gave birth to Avalon on the floor,” Mykelti says of her older daughter as the camera pans to show Robyn holding one of the twin boys.
“It’s crazy because people think when they get…when they split, when they divorce or whatever, that they won’t have to see each other, and that’s not true,” Robyn says in a confessional. “You’ll always be in each other’s lives somehow or another.”
“I’m going to be the one kind of helping the most. And then I’m sure Christine will kind of step in after I leave and I’ll hand the baton off to her, kind of a thing,” she continues.
The episode switches back to Christine’s confessional.
“Having Robyn there to me just showed that I don’t know how long it’s going to take for all of us to get back together again and be OK in each other’s presence,” Christine says.
“It was awkward. And it’s going to be awkward for a while, and I don’t know what the future looks like. We’ll do it for our kids, but it’s not going to happen, anything that I want to have happen soon.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Mykelti admitted that she didn’t want to get pregnant again after welcoming her twin sons.
“I’m ready to be done,” the mom of three shared. “This is the last time I will ever — hopefully, knock on wood — this is the last time I will ever be pregnant again.”
In a confessional, Mykelti told the cameras, “I love the idea of in the future maybe having more kids, but they will not come out of my body.”
“Pregnancy is miserable. It is literally awful,” she added.
