Tyler Perry’s Masterstroke! ‘Beauty in Black’ Stuns Audiences and Shows He’s Better Than Ever
Now, Beauty in Black has eight episodes, each around 43 to 50 minutes long. On Saturday night, after seeing your comments and hearing my sister’s reactions, I decided I’d try to get through it before the next episode of Sistas. Sunday was a pretty busy day—I sang at church in the morning and later attended our church’s 105th anniversary service. But thankfully, Netflix has a 1.5x speed feature, so I managed to finish the series in under four hours. (Yep, had to pause a lot to take notes!)
I’m not here to go into an official review, but let me just say this: the excitement around Beauty in Black is real. It’s been a while since I’ve seen this level of hype around a Tyler Perry project. It’s pretty impressive how much it’s getting people talking. I’ve been on YouTube for seven years, and if you go back even further, my blogging days on WordPress began twelve years ago, when I covered The Haves and the Have Nots. I’ve been following Tyler Perry’s work for a long time, and Beauty in Black has definitely reignited that spark!
