BBC EastEnders airs return for Keanu Taylor weeks after death twist as actor reprises role
EastEnders aired quite the return twist for murdered Keanu Taylor on the BBC soap on Wednesday, as Denise Fox was horrified to come face-to-face with Danny Walters' character
EastEnders viewers witnessed an unexpected comeback on Wednesday, as a character returned from the dead.
Denise Fox was left screaming as she saw a blast from the recent past, and someone she never thought she’d see again. A murdered character headed back to Walford in a dark twist, seemingly taking revenge on those who wronged him.
Keanu Taylor returned to screens for the first time since December, when he was brutally killed off. Danny Walters reprised his role as Keanu for special scenes on Wednesday, weeks on from him being murdered by Linda Carter at Christmas.
There was horror for Denise, who has been struggling since the murder with her and five others forced to bury the body under the café floor. But nothing could have prepared her as she found herself buried in the spot she’d left Keanu in weeks ago, with him burying her alive as she screamed.

Of course Denise soon woke up screaming, and it was revealed to be a terrifying nightmare. Danny did film the special scenes after his character’s demise, returning for the episode as Keanu who was still wearing the suit he died in.
In the scene, Denise herself had taken Keanu’s place, wearing his suit and even the famous cufflinks, looking up as she was buried alive – just as Keanu was by her, Sharon Watts, Linda, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar and Stacey Slater. Keanu was killed on Christmas Day after he attacked bride Sharon over her son Albie Watts.

After viewers had been led to believe Suki’s husband Nish Panesar was the victim, he actually survived after being attacked by Denise. Moments later Keanu began to strangle Sharon, resulting in a panicked Linda stabbing him and killing him.
The Six, as they are known, made a pact to cover up their crime with Keanu believed to be on the run. But they are all falling apart with Sharon fleeing, Linda suffering an alcohol relapse and Denise struggling with her mental health, resulting in those around her fearing she will end up spilling the beans on their shocking crime.
