EastEnders will air some terrifying scenes next week – as Kathy’s café goes up in flames.

The BBC soap will air some big scenes in the coming days when a much loved resident finds themselves trapped as Walford is rocked by a horrific fire. Spoilers have revealed that Rocky becomes even more desperate to get the funds to pay back his loan he took from Nish Panesar. However, Nish has a better plan – and suggests to Rocky he needs to steal a car from the car lot.

Rocky agrees but after a long chat with Jay about things following his near-fatal car crash, he decides against it. Realising everything is about to come to the surface, Rocky heads to chat to Kathy about what’s happened – but a conversation with Sonia sparks an idea.

Confiding in Harvey about his plan, he decides he is going to set fire to the café, which is already suffering with electrical faults, and claim the money on the insurance. Harvey is not ok with the idea and warns Rocky if he goes through with it, he’ll tell Kathy.

Rocky, meanwhile, is unsure what to do after he sees Kathy receive another electric shock from a faulty plug. He tells Harvey he can’t go through with it but heads to the bookies, where he loses a sudden winning streak. Harvey suggests he can take out a loan to help Rocky pay his debts, but when he hears what happened at the bookies, he withdraws his offer.

Feeling he now has no choice, Rocky decides he must go through with his original plan. Heading to the café to finalise his plan, Kathy – who is completely unaware of what is going on – waits for him at the restaurant for a romantic dinner.

Back at the café, Rocky tampers with the electrics before starting the fire and heading to his date with Kathy. Harvey stops him, questioning where he’s been, but he remains quiet about where he’s been. Harvey is left unconvinced by his lies, whilst elsewhere, Bobby sees the fire in the café and rushes to attempt to extinquish it.

As he tries to help, it explodes, leaving him unconscious inside the burning building, but will he make it out alive?
