BBC EastEnders Christmas death clue you missed as Stacey star admits ‘you didn’t see it’

EastEnders fans have been dying to find out who dies at Christmas and which of The Six women are behind it - and the stars have dropped a major clue about the scene of the crime

EastEnders fans have just been handed another clue about the Christmas murder – and you will have missed it.

Fans of the BBC soap have been scrambling for answers ever since the epic flashforward scene which aired back in February. A male character gets killed and The Six women are seen standing over their dead body in The Queen Vic pub.

The Six women are Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal). The only clue available to fans so far is that the victim is wearing a pair of amber cufflinks.

It looks like seven men are in the running to meet a grisly end – Ravi, Nish, Keanu, Dean, Rocky, Jack and Phil – and various theories have been flying around. But now the Six women have revealed a new clue.

The Six women spoke to Joe Swash in a special episode called The Six: Revealed. Discussing the possibility of her character Suki being the killer, Balvinder said: “Suki’s got two men she could kill – Nish and Ravi – but we can’t have a double murder and they come as a package.”

Letitia (Sharon Watts) added: “Maybe we could have a double murder!”. Lacey (Stacey Slater) added: “You didn’t see the other side of the pub.” Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) added: “We’ve talked a little about this – that there’s someone else in the room that Sharon is talking to.”

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has already hinted there were more clues in the scene that had been missed by fans. Back in Februrary, he said: “I’m not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I will say is there were clues in there.

“Did you look closely? I urge everyone to re-watch the scene and look at every detail. There’s also a few treats in the scene if you look hard enough.

“What I’d also say is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December – circumstances can change, relationships can change, loyalties can change – so what you may suspect now could be somewhat different as we make our way through 2023 and head towards Christmas.”
