BBC EastEnders fans all say same thing as ‘missing’ characters return after three years
Two characters returned to Walford after a three-year absence during the latest episode of BBC soap EastEnders as Karen Taylor's yougnest sons finally made an apperance
EastEnders fans left stunned when the show welcomed back two familiar faces as Karen Taylor celebrated her birthday.
Monday’s episode (November 27) saw the return of Chatham and Riley Taylor after they made an unexpected reappearance in Walford following a three-year hiatus. The two brothers are the youngest sons of Karen Taylor and the half-siblings to Keanu Taylor.
Karen sent the boys, who both have Neurofibromatosis, to live with their dad in 2020 during lockdown and agreed to joint custody, but they haven’t been seen since. However, they have finally made an appearance three years later. Karen was elated to see her two youngest sons waiting to celebrate her birthday as Mitch threw her surprise party at The Vic.

She immediately throws her arms around the pair and says: “Chatham, Riley, my boys”, as they all share a lingering hug. EastEnders fans were also happy to see the Taylor brothers back in Walford. Taking to X, one person wrote: “Chatham and Riley are in EastEnders tonight. It’s been three years! They’re enormous!.”
“Another added: “Where have Chatham and Riley been? #EastEnders,” and a third added: “Chatham and Riley are back! OMG!!” Elsewhere, Suki was relieved to find her goodbye letter back at No.41 but was startled when Nish questioned her about its contents.
She lied as she attempted to dispose of the letter. Her panic escalated when Priya revealed she knew the truth, prompting Suki to offer £2000 for her silence. Priya countered with a demand for £3000. Suki reluctantly agreed after Priya threatened to inform Nish about Vinny’s actions.
Later, Suki handed over stolen money from the call centre to Priya, unaware that Nish was secretly observing their transaction. Meanwhile, Stacey was still recovering from the shock of Theo’s attempts to reach out on the day of his plea hearing, proposing a meeting.
