BBC EastEnders ‘rumble’ Nish Panesar’s next move as fate revealed after Christmas attack

EastEnders aired a new twist as The Six learned some huge news about Nish Panesar on the BBC soap.
The villain was nearly killed off on Christmas Day during a huge showdown, but he survived his injuries. Denise Fox had smashed a glass bottle over his head after he attacked his wife Suki Panesar.
What followed was carnage, as Sharon Watts declared Nish dead only for Keanu Taylor to walk in and witness the scene. As he tried to flee with Sharon’s son Albie, she repeated to him that he was not Albie’s dad – and they had quite the spat.
Keanu then turned violent and tried to strangle Sharon, resulting in Linda Carter stabbing and killing him. His body is currently buried under the floor of the burnt out café, but there’s been a concerning update.
Builders arrived to start work on fixing up the café on the request of Suki’s son Vinny Panesar, leaving The Six all in a state of panic. Suki managed to stall the works, and convinced the men to give them a couple of days before they restarted.

But there was another big potential spanner in the works later in the episode, as Suki heard news from the hospital about Nish. Nish has been in a coma ever since the attack, with only The Six knowing what really happened.
The police were told that Keanu attacked Nish and fled, with him believed to be on the run. It was unclear whether Nish would regain consciousness, or if there would be longterm damage as a result of his injuries, and the fact for a moment he was not breathing.
On Monday as Suki joined Denise and Kathy and they discussed moving Keanu’s body, her phone rang with the news she had been waiting for. It was confirmed in that moment that Nish was awake and off his ventilator, with him confirmed to be stable.
While his condition has yet to be fully explained and we have not seen him on screen, what trouble could this bring for The Six, and will he remember what really happened? Fans are predicting his next move, with one posting on X: “Nish being awake means more drama!”
Another fan added: “He’s bound to have a game plan knowing how manipulative he is & keeping everyone guessing what he’s up to.” A third viewer said: “Nish is awake!!! NO Denise this isn’t good. 1. Nish could remember everything which means you & the rest of the Six are at risk. 2. There is a chance he could possibly fake Amnesia. 3. Sukeve would need to leave Walford regardless.”
