BBC EastEnders fans spot huge blunder as lives hang in the balance following horror café fire
EastEnders fans have pointed out a huge blunder in tonight's scenes with the fate of Rocky Cotton, Bobby Beale and Peter Beale being confirmed
EastEnders fans have pointed out a huge blunder – as the fate of the café fire victims was confirmed this evening.
Rocky Cotton started a fire at Kathy’s café by fiddling with the electrics, in the hope he could use the money from the insurance to pay his debts off as his gambling worsens. However, in tragic circumstances, Bobby Beale ran into the café to try and save it from going up in flames but he was caught in an explosion as well as Peter Beale and Rocky, leaving them all at risk.
At the start of tonight’s episode, it was confirmed Rocky is doing well and was able to be discharged from hospital whilst Ian and Cindy arrived to see Bobby looking unwell. However, he was able to give Ian a hug whilst Cindy frantically searched for Peter.

Peter was seen in intensive care, all hooked up to machines including a ventilator, with the family understandably still concerned if he will survive after being caught up in the horror explosion.
However, fans noted a huge blunder on the BBC soap and took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the scene. One wrote: “Bobby escaping with tiny knock on his head and Peter in a life threatening coma is absolute BS,” as a second added: “In the real world, Bobby would be dead. No one is surviving that explosion.” A third shared: “Even if they did, with that minimal of an injury is ridiculous.”

A fourth penned: “The way Bobby just jumped up today and was like “Daaad”.. All chipper and ready to roll with a tiny chicken scratch on his head!? Come on!” as a fifth wrote: “Bobby had just tripped the switch then the window beside him shattered with flames coming out right where he was standing. How he got to the other side of the café is beyond me.”
Rocky Cotton actor Brian Conley is departing the BBC soap in the coming weeks or months, but will what he’s done form part of his exit storyline? Speaking about leaving the show, Brian said: “I made my decision for many reasons, this decision, and it’s tough because they’re such a wonderful crowd. In front of the cameras and behind the cameras, I’ve loved my three years there. There’s other parts of the reports saying that I ‘clashed’ with TV bosses and the crew. I didn’t ‘clash’ with anyone, I didn’t have a rant. I’ve gone with their [ EastEnders ‘] blessings at the BBC, I’m excited about the future and where it’s going to go.”
