As Karen Taylor’s exit looms fans are convinced they’ve rumbled her exit.
It was reported earlier this year that actress Lorraine Stanley, 47, will be written out of EastEnders at the end of the year. And with Lorraine’s character Karen set to leave soon, viewers have been predicting a slew of explosive exit storylines.
Karen has been part of a dramatic storyline recently with on-screen son Keanu Taylor. Keanu and Karen teamed up to steal everything Sharon Watts had, including her son Albie, after Sharon refused to put Keanu on his birth certificate. She also planned to move away from Walford with her son, leaving Keanu behind and with little access to his son.

Karen was furious and encouraged him to take revenge, leading to the fake kidnapping of his son Albie. Karen took him to a family member’s house and Keanu wrote a ransom note, leading to Phil lending Sharon £50,000 to pay the supposed abductors. Karen was left hiding the money at her flat.
Things have gone from bad to worse as Keanu has now got engaged to Sharon again after celebrating the safe return of Albie with Sharon still oblivious Keanu was responsible. The duo wanted to celebrate their engagement on Tuesday and Karen refused to join in. Elsewhere, it was revealed on Wednesday night that Keanu was not Albie’s dad. Instead, Sharon discovered that Phil is in fact the youngster’s biological father.
With the truth about Albie’s kidnap and real father a bubbling secret, viewers can’t wait for the bombshells to drop and have predicted how it will tie into Karen’s exit. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “The fact that Karen might be about to be sent down for faking the abduction of a child that turns out isn’t even related to her #EastEnders” while a different account put: “#Eastenders I feel like Keanu is on the floor Christmas Day. What has he got making him stay in Walford. We know Karen is leaving and now he doesn’t even have a son to hang around for. I fear it could be him.”

Elsewhere, one person said: “Starting to think Keanu could be the body on Christmas Day. Suddenly not albie’s dad, returned in Dec 2022 (possible a 12 month contract was signed, CC also pitched the six story in Nov) and Karen leaving very soon with her exit story under wraps #EastEnders” while another wrote: “i’m telling you, the more this plays out, the more i am convinced that it’s keanu is dead on xmas day. this would then pave the way for karen’s exit. she is going to find out also about the kidnap. defo shaping up to be keanu #eastenders.”
Meanwhile, one soap watcher warned: “OMG Karen & Keanu’s face when they eventually realise they totally faked a kidnapping for a kid their not even related to.
