BBC EastEnders’ new Kathy Beale trailer hints at shocking second Christmas death
With just six weeks to go until we find out who dies on Christmas Day, EastEnders have revealed a huge new trailer which hints at a second victim this festive season
EastEnders fans have rumbled a second death this Christmas after Kathy Beale’s trailer was released.
Each of the Six women – Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) – have their own trailers in the lead up to the big Christmas scenes and we’ve now seen five out of six of them. The latest, with Kathy as the focus, was debuted tonight after she was arrested for the fire.
Viewers know that Kathy’s husband Rocky messed with the dodgy electrics in the café to try and set it on fire and claim the money back on the insurance, which he wanted to use to pay off his gambling debts.
However, in a shock twist, Bobby Beale and Peter Beale got caught up in the explosion. Whilst Bobby is better and allowed home from hospital, Peter Beale is still on life support and in intensive care, leaving Cindy Beale reeling.
She has been terrified about whether Peter will survive and rushed into the arms of her ex George Knight for support when her and Ian Beale had a fall out. However, George encouraged her to go back and be with Peter.
When Kathy came to check on Peter, an angry Cindy fumed at her and Bobby for what happened, before telling the police that Kathy was responsible for the fire. It meant she was arrested at the end of tonight’s episode, leaving Rocky horrified for his wife.
In the new ‘everything changes’ trailer for Kathy, the matriarch of the Beale family is seen cutting roses before slamming the cleaver into the board and chopping the heads off the pink roses. Could this be a link to Cindy Beale?
Some viewers are convinced this could be a hint that Cindy might die this Christmas, given that she was known as Rose Knight – the wife of George Knight – whilst in witness protection. Is Cindy at risk this festive season, and will she die in a shocking twist?
One fan wrote: “SHE CUT ROSES? ROSE? CINDY??” as another added: “Symbolising the loss of love and devotion… Rockys betrayal when she finds out he caused the fire? She did say there’ll be murders before Christmas… killer Kathy??? So excited for the last part of the puzzle…. SUKIS TRAILER #EastEnders.” However, one fan insisted the flowers were actually tulips – but had another potential theory, and took to social media to share their thoughts: “I thought they was Roses (as in she wants to kill Cindy/“Rose”) but I think they’re tulips lol. #EastEnders They’re pink tho. Linda? Does Kathy kill Dean to protect Linda?”
