BBC EastEnders’ Nish Panesar ‘sealed’ as Christmas death after Suki clue and Rocky twist

EastEnders viewers are convinced new scenes have revealed Nish Panesar is the most likely to die this Christmas on the BBC soap, after a twist with Suki Panesar

EastEnders viewers have spotted some key clues that could reveal that Nish Panesar is the character who will be killed off this Christmas.

Worrying scenes on Tuesday night saw Nish violently attack and manipulate wife Suki Panesar, after she continued to accuse his son Ravi Gulati of murder. Viewers know that controlling Nish has been abusive towards Suki in the past, but on Tuesday night we saw him physically attack her and threatening her.

Viewers were disgusted by the scenes and horrified for Suki, as she shook in terror before lying to Nugget that she had got the news about Ravi’s crime wrong. During the scene, fans spotted a couple of possible hints that could tie this storyline to the looming Christmas death.

Suki was wearing the same blouse she was wearing during the episode in February that saw a flashfoward clip to Christmas Day 2023. Viewers know that a mystery male character dies at Christmas, with Suki amongst the six women at the scene of the crime.

One of them is tipped to be the killer while details of the death and what happens are yet to be confirmed. After Nish’s behaviour with Suki, fans once again speculated and hoped Nish would die.

Theories include Suki getting revenge or the six women banding together to protect her, and killing Nish in the process. Some fans believe Nish is set to be the victim cos he is linked to most of ‘The Six’. He’s about to give Rocky Cotton a loan and is tipped to be involved in the café fire, linking him to Kathy Beale.

Denise has been a shoulder to cry on for Suki at times, so might she find out about his treatment of her? Denise has also been threatened by Nish over her vendetta against Ravi. Fans are speculating over the coming weeks, Nish will become linked to the remaining women Stacey Slater, Linda Carter and Sharon Watts.

Linda did have a feud with Nish earlier in the year when she rejected his offer for the pub. But theories asides, it’s the possible clues on Tuesday that could well confirm Nish is involved in the big storyline and could be the victim.

Viewers picked up on Suki wearing the blouse just as Nish attacked her, linking the two episodes. Not only that, but there was also a shadow cast by Nish during the scene which reminded some fans of something Suki said in the past.

During the lock-in episode, and the last time Suki wore the blouse, she talked of being kept in the shadows. During the scene on Tuesday, in that very same blouse, we saw Nish literally in the shadows as he taunted his wife.

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts on whether Nish will die with one writing: “Nish now has a link to Kathy, Denise and Suki. Three of the six. It’s got to be him surely!” As others predicted Nish would be linked to the looming fire, others discussed the scene on Tuesday night.

One fan wrote: “the little head shake was every bit as heartbreaking as the kitchen scene. she’s been silenced. forced to keep quiet or risk putting herself and others in danger. kept in the shadows. again. coincidence that she’s wearing the shirt from #TheSix lock in? i think not.”

Another agreed: “Hear me out. walk with me. at the lock in, suki said ‘the ones who try to keep us in the shadows’ today, wearing the SAME BLOUSE, her abuse storyline escalated to physical…while nishs SHADOW was looming over her. coincidence? i don’t think so…suki trailer next?”
