EastEnders spoilers have teased a possible affair for Stacey Slater and Jack Branning – as they grow closer next week.
Stacey is struggling when Theo tries to make contact with her next week ahead of his plea hearing. When he asks her to meet, she’s horrified, but when Lily opens up to Ricky about her worries for her mum, Stacey decides she needs to face Theo.
As they meet, Stacey tries to get Theo to plead guilty by promising to restart their relationship when he’s back out, but he reacts badly and Stacey is suddenly left worried whether she might have said the wrong thing.

Whilst Jean tries to discourage Stacey from attending the plea hearing, Stacey is adamant she wants to be there and is joined by both Martin and Jack whilst she waits for Theo to give his evidence, but what will he say?
As Stacey – who is involved in the big Christmas death storyline – reels from the news, Jack comforts a drunken Stacey, who is tearful as she confesses her worries about Theo. He takes her back to number 27 to sober up, where Sam shares her dislikes of the Slaters. When they’re alone, Jack is left reeling when Stacey makes a big confession to him – she planted the wrench on Theo to make it look like he attacked her.
Jack tells Stacey he has to tell the police about what she’s confessed, given his position in the force. She pleads with him to keep quiet, explaining why she did it, and he feels compelled to keep quiet. The pair have a heart to heart about all that happened in the past, with Stacey touched by the support he has been showing her through this tough time.

Fans have been convinced that an affair is brewing for the pair. Back in September, viewers were convinced they rumbled a twist which would see Stacey and Jack get closer. They have close ties together, given that the pair share granddaughter Charli, the daughter of Stacey’s daughter Lily Slater and Jack’s son Ricky Mitchell. Stacey was also married to Jack’s late nephew Bradley Branning until his death in 2010, while Stacey had two affairs with Jack’s brother Max Branning.
One viewer suggested: “Jack and Stacey affair?”, as another added: “Jack is helping Stacey. Now suggesting that Denise and Raymond on holiday. Please don’t tell me Jack and Stacey will sleep together.” A third wrote: “It’s got to be a jack and Stacey affair soon.”
Another mused: “The Jack and Stacey affair prediction is also feasible. Jack suggested that Denise spends time away from Walford. He could get closer to her in this time. Theo could also become aware of Stacey and Jack’s pact soon and this could complicate things.”
