EastEnders spoilers have teased trouble for Keanu Taylor on the BBC soap as his kidnapping plan is nearly exposed by Phil Mitchell next week

EastEnders spoilers have teased trouble for Keanu – as his kidnapping plan is nearly exposed.

Keanu has been adamant to get back at Sharon for considering taking their son abroad if she moves to Abu Dhabi. Keanu then decided to kidnap Albie from Sharon – as his mum Karen reluctantly agreed – in a bid to get money off her, but it hasn’t quite gone to plan.

Next week on the BBC soap, the search continues for Albie as the residents support the police to try and track him down. Sharon keeps the £50,000 ransom note away from the police as she worries it will only put him in more danger. Struggling, she explains to Kat and Phil about the message and they offer to lend her the money so she can pay the kidnapper.

Meanwhile, Karen is fuming at Keanu, worrying about the ramifications of the fake kidnapping before she drops a secret second ransom note to organise a time and location to hand over the cash. Sharon knows they need to go along with the kidnappers’ wishes, worrying that Albie will get hurt. Phil, though, suggests he should drop the money off and can then deal with the low life that took Albie. Keanu refuses, saying he’ll do it himself, but Phil insists.

Sharon agrees, leaving Keanu concerned that his plan could soon be rumbled. Elsewhere, he and Karen continue to worry how they can get Albie back to Sharon without blowing their cover. Karen then texts Sharon from Keanu’s burner phone, requesting a new location – the park at midday – for the drop off of the £50,000 but it must be done alone.

Keanu convinces Sharon that Karen should make the drop, expressing his fear that Albie could get hurt if Phil goes in heavy handed. Karen later meets with Kandice’s husband Malcom at the park to get Albie, but fears she’ll blow her cover.

Sharon is part of the big Christmas storyline, which will see one unlucky male resident meet his death. Speaking earlier this year about the big storyline and who the dead body might end up being, she revealed: “Oh I wish I had an idea, but at the minute I think it’s so open – and I have been through a few of these storylines before and I rarely get them right – so I’m sure over the next year I’ll change my mind a thousand times, but it would purely be guesswork at this point!”

Danny Walters – who plays Keanu – has dropped a hint his character could be the dead body. In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, he told us of the possibility of him being somehow involved: “It’s not what I can tease, it’s what I can’t say. There’s a lot going on for my character, for character he’s involved with. I really want to tell you a lot of things coming up. The storylines are so juicy and fun for me to play and it’s going to be fun for the audience to watch. I want to say more!”
