BBC EastEnders to air huge return as past character set to rock Walford in Cindy twist
EastEnders have teased another huge return as Cindy Beale tries to go into business with a former resident of Walford
EastEnders will air some huge scenes next week – as another big return is sealed.
Cindy Beale has made quite a name for herself since her return to Walford. She was presumed to be dead, but actually was alive the whole time and had been moved to Spain and then France for witness protection. She eventually met back up with Ian, but in the time between her going to jail and reconnecting with her ex, she had many happy days with George Knight under the alias Rose.
George and Rose ended up having two kids together, Gina and Anna, who have managed to find themselves in Walford after George started dating Elaine, who is the mother of Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter.
Since returning back to Walford, Cindy has been keen to try and secure a business there to show her girls how serious she is about getting to know them. She had tried to go into business with Nish and Suki Panesar, but things didn’t seem to work out as of yet.

Next week on the BBC soap, Cindy Beale – played by Michelle Collins – meets up with another bidder for the pawn shop. She is keen to split their offer and go into business together. Ian Beale – played by Adam Woodyatt – is reluctant about the idea, but Cindy tells him that he should trust her, given that the mystery person is an ex-resident of Walford themselves.
As well as some big returns, including that of Jacqueline Jossa who plays Lauren Branning, there are also some big exits set to air. Rocky Cotton star Brian Conley is departing the BBC soap in the coming weeks or months.
Speaking about his exit from the show, he said: “You may have heard reports that I’m leaving EastEnders. It was a tough decision but it is true, I am going and I made it for many reasons, that decision. It is tough because they’re such a wonderful crowd, in front of the cameras and behind the cameras and I’ve loved my three years there. So that’s the truth in the reports.
“There’s other parts of reports saying that I clashed with TV bosses and the crew. I didn’t clash with anyone. I didn’t have a rant. But they’ll probably report on this now that I’m ranting about ranting! But I’m not ranting! I have gone with their blessings at the Beeb and I’m excited about the future and where it’s going to go. And I’m also excited about Rocky’s exit because I know it’s good. So I’m sending you much love – all EastEnders fans.”
