Denise Fox vows to divorce Jack Branning after shock discovery in EastEnders
Jack Branning is on the list of potential victims for this Christmas' murder mystery. Could Denise Fox be to blame?
VIEWERS are growing increasingly convinced that Denise Fox will turn into a killer ahead of Christmas.
Coming up, however, the EastEnders favourite starts off the festive season with a major decision about her marriage.
The hairstylist played by Diane Parish has been met with major hurdles in her marriage to Jack Branning (portrayed by Scott Maslen).
Sadly, the couple face more ups and downs soon on BBC One and they may not be able to overcome them as Denise is set to opt for divorce.
In scenes due to air on our screens, Jack wakes at No.27 full of regret and lashes out at both of his children Amy and Ricky (respectively played by Ellie Dadd and Frankie Day).
After an important run-in in the Square, Denise tries to fight for her marriage.
Things don’t go according to plan but in later scenes, Denise reluctantly heads back to No.27 to continue their conversation after they’re interrupted by her son Raymond.
A shocking discovery changes everything and Denise reels in shock before heading to No.20 where her sister Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) reasons she must divorce Jack as their marriage is clearly beyond help.
Denise decides once and for all she wants to put an end to her marriage and packs a bag to leave, but she is stopped by a horrified Amy who flees from No.27.
Jack and Denise frantically search for Amy before they find her crying in the playground.
The copper shockingly blames his wife for Amy’s current mental state, and forbids Denise to leave the family home.
Later on, Jack attempts to make amends with Denise but she tells him she can’t forgive him for using Amy’s mental health to blackmail her.
Things continue to spiral for Jack when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) tries to interfere in his relationship troubles.
How will he react?
While this remains to be seen, soap bosses clearly set the scene ahead of this year’s Christmas whodunnit.
The Walford carol concert is in jeopardy when Kim loses her voice, but Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) steps up after some words of encouragement from Patrick Trueman (Roger Griffiths).
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Stacey, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Denise all watch on as they try to supress their inner torment.
As viewers have been shown earlier this year, all six women will be involved in a shocking murder mystery.
A flashforward scene revealed that an unknown male victim will be left for dead in the Vic.
Soap fans have been desperate to find out who it could be and who will be responsible for the death.
Theories have been thrown around on social media but many viewers of the London-based program have pointed out, with the help of clues, that Denise could be the one to do the killing.
Could her separation with Jack turn deadly?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
