EastEnders bad boy return ‘confirmed’ seven years after exit ahead of Christmas murder
EastEnders bosses have been hit with a major leak at the BBC One soap after a picture of Matt Di Angelo back in the Queen Vic as Dean Wicks appeared on social media
EastEnders bad boy Dean Wicks is reportedly making a return to Walford.
Actor Matt Di Angelo is said to be making a comeback to the BBC One Soap seven years after his dramatic exit. He was last seen in Albert Sqaure back in 2016 when he was acquitted of the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons).
According to reports, the star is already scenes which are set to air later this year and bosses have been keen to keep is return under wraps in a bid to shock viewers. However, eagle-eyed soap fans have spotted a picture on social media that appears to show Dean back in the Queen Vic.
A source told The Sun: “Dean is the ultimate villain so to bring him back was a genius move especially with everything that’s coming up this autumn. There’s also the small matter of the big murder at Christmas, could it be Dean’s body under the tree?
“We know that Linda is one of the women involved, and this just throws another name in the mix. It’s a very exciting time.”It comes after show boss Chris Clenshaw previously teased a major Halloween shock for Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
He said at the time: “Poor Lina’s struggling this Halloween as it’s the first one without Mick. Obviously she wasn’t with Mick this time last year, but Halloween was very much their thing, and something they did together in the Queen Vic. So, she’s trying her best to make a go of things, but she gets one hell of a surprise that she doesn’t bargain for.”
Daily Star has been approached the BBC for a comment. Fans will remember that Dean raped his brother Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) wife Linda in the Queen Vic pub which lead to the traumatised mum breaking down and revealing what she’s been through to her husband on Christmas Day.
Fans are convinced that Dean could be the mysterious ex-boyfriend of Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), who currently lives in the Vic with her family. Talking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “My theory is Cindy kills Deano as she discovers what Deano did to Linda, as it emerges he’s Gina’s ex-boyfriend from Spain.”

A second person wrote: “Gina has an ex boyfriend in Spain? Interesting how it keeps being brought up. With everyone theorising he could be Dean. A third person said: “That would be a good twist. Dean Wicks and Gina Knight. Could her ex make his way to Walford?” While another social media user replied: “Omg imagine the scenes.”
Fans will have to wait and see what brings Dean back to Walford.
