EastEnders bosses break silence as fans panic over ‘missing’ iPlayer episode
The episode will see Dean Wicks at the centre of drama
EASTENDERS bosses have broken their silence after the show’s latest episode appeared to go ‘missing’ on BBC iPlayer.
Fans of the soap were left concerned as the show failed to pop up on the Beeb’s streaming and catch-up service as normal at 6am.
Ahead of their nightly airing on BBC One at 7:30pm, the day’s episode streams on iPlayer from 6am however it failed to do so as normal this morning.
Usually, when the soap pulls its night’s episode from the iPlayer it often is concealing information that they want to air live without any spoilers.
It last occurred when Cindy Beale finally returned to the show with the episodes axed from iPlayer to conceal the surprise.
However, fans could be left disappointed as it has been confirmed that is not the case today.
A BBC spokesperson told Digital Spy that the episode would be uploaded “slightly later than usual”.
The episode is now live on BBC iPlayer for fans to stream with it being unclear as to why it arrived much later than usual.
During tonight’s episode, Dean Wicks will be left furious when the opening of the new pie and mash shop is scuppered as a result of grafitti.
The word “rapist” will be branded across the shop and Dean immediately suspects Linda Carter.
Amid accusations of him suing her for slander, Linda aims to come to a truce with the villain but it seems that Dean is not interested in backing down.
Elsewhere, Nish and Priya finally find themselves in a steamy clinch but does it catch more eyes than intended to?
Whilst Vinny begins to worry about Suki and after learning that she has not been taking her medication, it sparks alarm bells.
