EastEnders confirms who vandalised Beale’s Eels
This article contains spoilers from tonight’s (November 20) episode of EastEnders which has NOT yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
Ian and Cindy Beale (Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins) were eagerly anticipating the opening of their new pie and mash shop, Beale’s Eels, but what they didn’t expect was to be faced with vandalism on the day of their opening.
The couple ruffled feathers among Walford residents when it was revealed that they would be going into business with Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), and faced warnings from their disgruntled neighbours that it would be a bad idea.
When Dean crossed a line by trying to talk to Ollie Carter while handing out flyers, Linda (Kellie Bright) decided that she needed to find a way to get rid of him.
Together with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), she put together some flyers of her own, urging people to boycott Beale’s Eels.
When Dean caught wind of this, he threatened to sue for libel, leaving Linda with no choice but to take the flyers down.
However, one resident didn’t think that the flyers had sent enough of a message, and under the cover of darkness spray painted the word ‘Rapist’ across the front of the shop.
Viewers will know that Dean raped Linda in 2014, and was later found not guilty of the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell. Because of this, he has faced no consequences for his actions.
With fans wondering who was behind the vandalism, EastEnders finally revealed the culprit in tonight’s episode.
Dean was quick to blame Linda, threatening once again to go to court over it.
However, it very quickly became clear that Linda wasn’t to blame, as Gina admitted to the crime.
Cindy was horrified that her daughter would sabotage the launch of the business, but Gina showed no remorse for her actions.
When Dean threatened to report her though, Cindy stepped up and refused to let him shop her daughter to the police. Will he listen?
