EastEnders: Could THIS Tragedy Finally Bring Shabnam Back To The Square?
It has been a while since we last saw Shabnam Masood on EastEnders. In 2007, actress Zahra Ahmad debuted on the BBC One soap as Zainab and Masood’s rebellious daughter Shabnam. However, she exited in 2008, after a short but well registers stint. After feeling lost and being dismissed by her mother for understanding her culture, she moved to Pakistan in hopes of reconncting with her roots. Later, in 2014, she made a comebcak, but in form of actress Rakhee Thakrar. However, after many ups and downs, Shabnam left again in 2016. And hasn’t been seen ever since.
But could that be on the verge of changing? Dean Wicks has recently returned to EastEnders. Moreover, he mentioned that he has comeback to stay close to his daughter, Jade Green, who is gravely ill in the hospital. The same daughter that he shares with Shabnam Masood! So could her daughter’s ill health bring her back to the square once again? It is very much a possibility if you ask us! Especially since she has expressed so much guilt over Jade previously!
Will Shabnam Get A Do-over With Jade On EastEnders?
Long-term fans would remember that when Shabnam had returned to EastEnders in 2014, she had started a relationship with Kush. She had also become pregnant with his baby. Unfortunately, their son was a still born. Moreover, she learnt that she had a scarred uterus. Which meant that she could never have another baby naturally. This pushed her to beg Kush to reunite with his son Arthur, and left Walford. But here’s the thing, before getting pregnant with Kush’s baby, she also had another baby with Dean. However, she gave her away.
Something that she came to regret later in life. In fact, her paths crossed with her daughter in the most dramatic fashion on EastEnders. When she was attacked by a gang and left for dead. She was actually found and rescued by Jade Green, who was eventually revealed as the daughter she had with Dean. Now all these years later, Jade is ill and perhaps needs her parents by her side. Will Shabnam take this opportunity to make amends to her daughter?
As of now, neither the production nor the cast has dropped any hints about Shabnam’s return. But we wouldn’t write it off. Especially since it seems to comeback season on EastEnders. Moreover, it would actually be quite nice to have her back, as well as give her some closure with Jade. What do you think? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile
