EastEnders Danielle Harold’s rival soap role ‘confirmed’ in shock move after I’m A Celeb exit

EXCLUSIVE: I'm A Celebrity star Danielle Harold is best known for her role as Lola Pearce on EastEnders but a PR expert believes she could be making a move to a rival soap

Former EastEnders star Danielle Harold could be set for a stint on a rival soap, a PR expert has claimed.

The 31-year-old became the latest celebrity eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, leaving during Thursday (December 7) night’s show. Prior to entering the Aussie jungle, Danielle was best known for her role as Lola Pearce on EastEnders.

She made her debut as the character when she was just 17-years-old in 2011. In October 2022, Lola was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour and she died in heartbreaking scenes in May 2023.

Her portrayal of Lola’s glioblastoma brain tumour storyline earned her the gong for Best Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards and Best Leading Performer at the British Soap Awards. Now, a PR expert has discussed what could be in store for the soap star in her next career move.

Rochelle said: “I feel that Danielle will be presented with various opportunities post ‘ I’m a Celeb ‘.

“I feel that she could go back into acting and I could see her in soaps like Hollyoaks and Corrie, but depending on what and where she wants to take her career, she could move into presenting and we could see her pop up on segments on shows like This Morning.”

Rochelle continued: “But, with channels like Channel 4.0 and ITV focusing on native content for digital channels, she could explore new opportunities within that space.

The expert confessed Danielle has the potential to appear on many different platforms. She added: “As viewing habits and people change where and how they view content, I do think she could pop up on various things.

“She has a young look and could be appealing to Gen Z viewers, brands and channels looking to engage with them. It will be interesting to see what she does and where she goes.”

In her first interview since leaving the jungle, Danielle opened up about who she bonded with most. She told Lorraine: “Definitely Sam. He became my little brother in there, even though he’s the same age as me.”
