EastEnders fans baffled as character ‘disappears’ after emotional Jay scenes – despite living next to Walford tube
EASTENDERS fans have been left confused after a character ‘disappeared’ from the show following emotional scenes with Jay.
Nadine Keller, played by Jazzy Phoenix, made her first appearance on the soap in September 2023.
She played a law student and sex worker who met Jay Brown while he was walking around Walford trying to recover from the death of his wife Lola.
He eventually asked her out and they went to The Prince Albert for a drink.
Nadine invited him back to her flat and came onto him, but he decided against things getting steamy.
Instead they simply spent the night sleeping beside each other in bed.
After spotting the pair together Callum warned the young woman to stay away from Jay.
Unfortunately she did not listen, and Jay ended up taking ketamine with Nadine when she suggested it could help him cope with his grief.
That sent him into a spiral and he ended up completely relapsing with his drug addiction.
However, eagle-eyed viewers have been left wondering why Nadine never reappeared on screen after the scenes, especially considering she lives in a central location in the borough.
Some took to social media to express their disappointment, with one person saying: “Doesn’t look like Nadine’s coming back; too bad, she was an interesting character.”
Another agreed: “Bit weird if she’s never seen again, she lives next to the tube.”
A third EastEnders fan predicted: “I don’t think she’s gone forever. Her and Emma I think will pop up one more time.”
