EastEnders fans disgusted as Linda Carter hits the booze again after rapist Dean Wicks humiliates her
Fans said that they hope Dean Wicks is killed off at Christmas
EASTENDERS fans are disgusted after Linda Carter was put through even more trauma by rapist Dean Wicks tonight.
The Queen Vic landlady – who is played by actress Kellie Bright in the BBC soap – was raped by Dean four years ago but he got away with it.
Viewers watched recently as Dean blackmailed Linda into claiming he didn’t rape her – and secretly recording her words.
Tonight, with Anna taking Ollie and Annie to see Father Christmas because Linda was too busy, she ended up at the only place with Santa – Beale’s Eels.
But when she sent the kids up and Bobby walked in, she realised in horror that it was Dean in the suit.
And when she rushed Ollie away, Dean took the chance to take the phone with the picture from his daughter Jade and text it to Linda, goading her.
She was furious and raced over to the restaurant and exposed Dean as a rapist to Jade.
“You keep away from my children,” Linda said. “You go near them again and I’ll kill you.”
Later in the Vic, struggling with her first Christmas without Mick, Linda thanked her family for being there for her.
She told the punters in the Vic: “It’s hard celebrating Christmas without Mick.
“You know, doing this on my own, except I’m not on my own because my mum and my new family, George, Gina, Anna. You make me feel like I can get through this so thank you.”
But then Linda was horrified when Dean appeared behind her at the bar in front of all the punters.
“Such a good liar,” he said.
“You don’t get to play the grieving widow, let’s have it right. You’re a drunk who cheated on my brother Mick again and again.
“Once with Max Branning and with me.”
Dean then played the secret recording he’d made of Linda after he blackmailed her into lying about what happened and claiming Dean didn’t rape her.
Despite Alfie and George backing Linda up, Dean’s words had an effect on the locals – as did the recording.
She fled upstairs as George offered to go to the police and confess to the assault so Dean could be charged with blackmail.
But she told him not to and told them both to go downstairs and put on a front to show Walford that they aren’t ashamed.
However upstairs, Linda struggled to settle and when Johnny text her to tell her he couldn’t make it home for Christmas, it was the final straw.
She broke down in tears and poured herself a large glass of vodka.
But viewers are disgusted by the episode – accusing the soap of putting Linda through misery for no reason.
One wrote: “didn’t rewatch tonight but kellie absolutely smashed those harrowing scenes my heart breaks for linda (I am rocking in a corner as we speak)”
A second said: “dean is absolutely disgusting, I hate him so much!!!!”
Another added: “If Dean isn’t the one to die on Christmas i will never understand why he was brought back”
