EastEnders ‘foreshadows Christmas death’ as BBC soap drops new clue about mystery cufflinks
EASTENDERS has thrown wide open the list of potential victims for the Christmas Day murder.
The BBC soap had narrowed down the official potential victims to seven men in official spoilers but in tonight’s episode it appeared there could be even more.
Ever since the flashforward in February revealed a Walford man will die in the Queen Vic at Christmas, fans have been speculating on who it could be.
The official potential victims have been revealed to be Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Jack Branning, Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati, Rocky Cotton and Dean Wicks.
The only clue at the time was a pair of cufflinks he was wearing.
Fans have been obsessively following the cufflinks as they have switched from man to man across the Square.
But in tonight’s episode that theory exploded as Alfie Moon was revealed to be selling the same style cufflinks across the Square.
The wheeler dealer had an entire briefcase full of the cufflinks, and decided to sell them with Billy Mitchell.
It now means that any man could be a potential victim – taking the big clue of the cufflinks off the table altogether.
And it’s safe to say fans are furious at the bait and switch.
One wrote: “I bloody knew there was gonna be multiple cufflinks going around at some point!! sneaky sneaky move!! making it all the less AND more obvious who our mystery man is…”
A second said: “Alfie’s selling a suitcase full of cufflinks identical to ‘the cufflinks’ what a curve ball Easties!”
Another added: “Of course Alfie is selling the cufflinks on the market! #thecufflinks.”
