EastEnders fans have BRUTAL response to ITV axing British Soap Awards as they rip into Coronation Street and Emmerdale

LOYAL EastEnders viewers have responded after ITV recently announced that they were cancelling the 2024 British Soap Awards.
Albert Square fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment at the broadcaster’s recent decision for the TV award show.
Show fans are convinced that ITV has sabotaged EastEnders’ chances of winning big at the British Soap Awards by cancelling it.
Viewers of the beloved BBC soap believe that it has had a successful year in terms of storylines and characters, which deserve to be celebrated.
Taking to X(Twitter) one fan commented: “ITV cancelling The British Soap Awards, maybe because they know EastEnders will always win :).”
Another added: “The fact that they have given no reason to why the soap awards have been cancelled next year leaves it open to speculation.
“And I speculate that ITV didn’t want #EastEnders winning all the awards.”
A third wrote: “So the one year that EastEnders would most likely sweep the board they’ve scrapped the Soap Awards?? Hmm. Call me cynical.”
A fourth penned: “So ITV cancelled the British Soap Awards 24 in fear that #EastEnders will win awards and their soaps not. This is cheap.”
