EASTENDERS fans have ‘rumbled’ an Elaine Peacock Christmas murder twist after spotting easy-to-miss clues.
Fans of the BBC soap are eagerly counting down to the festive episodes, which will finally reveal who the mystery man killed in the Queen Vic is.
The scenes were first teased in a flashforward earlier this year, with six of EastEnders’ matriarchs involved; Sharon, Suki, Stacey, Kathy, Linda and Denise.
However, some EastEnders fans are convinced Elaine Peacock – played by Harriet Thorpe – is also involved.
It’s not unreasonable to assume the landlady of the pub would be around on such a big occasion, let alone if there is a rukus that leads to a murder.
And with many fans ear-marking newly returned Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) as the victim, it would also give more credibility to Elaine being at the other side of the body facing Sharon.
This is because Elaine is fully aware that Dean raped her daughter Linda (Kellie Bright) during his previous stint in Walford but was never brought to justice for it.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one soap fan wrote: “You know I’m done. Except for the Christmas murder which is set to be the best thing ever.
“Sharon, Linda, Denise, Kathy, Suki, and Stacey are set to kill a man on Christmas Day. But who? I say Elaine has Dean “a chip of the old block” killed over the head with a bust!”
Another added: “EastEnders Christmas – Who gets killed. Victim: – Dean Wicks. Attacker: – Elaine Peacock. Item Used: – Queen Vic Bust. Motive: – Protect George Knight (fighting Dean Wicks) and revenge for her daughter Linda (who was r*ped by Dean Wicks).”
A third agreed, writing: “THEORY! Dean is the body. Killer is Elaine or George. How is he killed: whacked round the head with a stool.”
Meanwhile a fourth tweeted: “Prediction. Elaine kills Dean on Christmas Day #EastEnders”.
