EastEnders fans say same thing as Christmas Day killer and victim revealed in jaw-dropping twist

EastEnders fans finally know the identity of the male corpse laying in the Queen Vic from the flash forward episode and the killer responsible was also unmasked

EastEnders have revealed the identity of the Christmas Day murder victim and the mystery killer responsible after 10 months of speculation from viewers.

Fans have been buzzing for this year’s special episode since the BBC soap aired a special flash forward episode back in February teasing a shock death with Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) gathered around a dead boy in the at the Queen Vic.

Monday’s (December 25) dramatic hour-long episode finally pieced together exactly what happened on the night in question as the six women found themselves in the local pub as Sharon’s disastrous wedding to Kenau Taylor (Danny Walters) was cancelled after she learned about her involvement in her son Albie’s kidnap.

Suki opened up to the group about her secret relationship with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and the women called her violent husband Nish Panser (Navin Chowdhry) and lured him to the Vic. The women told Nish that Suki didn’t want to be with him anymore but disaster struck as a nasty Nish decided to drag Suki away. However, a nearby Denise instead struck Nish over the head with a glass bottle. As the women came to terms with what just happened, Keanu walked in demanding to speak to runaway bride Sharon.

He collapsed in a pool of blood while back in the pub, Nish began breathing again.

Gobsmacked fans have since taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to discuss the jaw-dropping twist, One fan penned: “I can’t believe Linda committed murder and it wasn’t against Dean #Eastenders.” Another added: “Can’t believe it was Linda though!! I mean, protecting her best friend and all but blimey!!”

Someone else said: “I can’t believe Linda’s the killer and Keanu is the dead one???” A fourth social media user said: “OMG didn’t see Linda being a killer coming.” It comes after Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw revealed that he was “incredibly pleased” that fans have been gripped by the storyline over the past 10 months. He said: “We’re incredibly pleased with the positive reaction to the flash forward and The Six storyline since February. It’s been a long time in the making and the Christmas Day reveal really is an episode to watch live on Christmas Day.

“We’re thrilled with the buzz around The Six. It’s exactly what we hoped for; we hoped people would chat, we hoped people would speculate, we hoped that everyone would come up with their own theories and share those theories with one another. We wanted it to be a storyline that brings the viewers together too, and we’re over the moon that it seems to be doing that and the audience are enjoying being a part of it.”

“The events of Christmas Day lead to The Six – Stacey, Suki, Linda, Sharon, Denise and Kathy – being bound together and it’s safe to say that none of their lives will ever be the same again. We’ve had several methods in place throughout the entire year to keep the storyline a secret and to ensure that the Christmas Day episode and the big reveal of who’s on the floor – plus who does it – remains under wraps until the 25th December,’ Chris explained.

“Sadly, I can’t reveal what those methods are as that would give everything away, but it would be a real shame if anyone spoiled the surprise as we know how much the audience love watching the drama unfold in real-time.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
