EastEnders fans spot ‘clue’ over Christmas death over Kathy’s cryptic comment
EastEnders viewers can't stop trying to work out who is going to be involved in the BBC soap's Christmas death plot, and some think they have spotted some good clues
EastEnders fans are convinced they have worked out more about who will die this Christmas – and possibly at whose hands.
The festive season always sees some big shockers in soapland and this year is going to be a cracker, with Albert Square set to see a death. The drama is set to unfold as Sharon (Letitia Dean) gets married, with lots of Walford’s women in the frame.
The BBC soap has been teasing the story for weeks, with peeks at a scene that saw several of the ladies staring at a mystery body in the Queen Vic. Nobody knows who, what or why, but excitement is mounting.
Fans have been gripped and there has been lots of speculation about who the drama is going to involve. In the latest instalment, Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) was wearing a white top with purple print on it. And as purple is the colour of her dress in the flash forward to the murder, it sparked the possibility that she is involved.
Kathy also made a remark about “murders” and “Christmas” which has got people wondering. One posted on X: “That line from Kathy. Possible foreshadowing??”
“There would be murders at Christmas you say Kathy?” asked another. “Kathy foreshadowing the future,” said another.
Some people are also thinking that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) could be the victim. Sharon is wearing her wedding dress in the teaser clip, picking up the arm of the dead man, who is wearing cufflinks. And as Keanu is supposed to be her groom, he’s certainly in the mix.
He wants to wed Sharon, get on her son Albie’s birth certificate and then flee with him and her son. Plus recent snaps of filming apparently showed actor Walters with his hands behind his back, leading to speculation about him possibly hiding the cufflinks.
“Is it just me or is Keanu’s current behaviour lining him up perfectly to be the Christmas day body?” one fan said on X. “Right now, I’d quite like it to be him.”
Someone else wrote: “Since the flash forward episode, I’ve always thought Keanu would be the body. Came back in December (year’s contract), big Sheanu focus in FF ep (Sharon’s sadness prompts lock in), Sharon the one to check the body… now Karen leaving. Instinctively, it’s Keanu.”
